Fundraising

This is the listing of Diabetic cats in Need-assisted cats for which I am Fundraising. I brought this over from Mom's DCIN blog because I AM THE DCIN FUNDRAISING SPOKESCAT. If you want to help DCIN do its job, please donate whatever you can, even if it's just $5. Information about how to donate is in the DONATE!! link at the top of each page of this blog.

I have it set up so that you can donate in many ways--sponsoring DCIN or a special cat with a monthly draw from your PayPal account, or making a restricted (for a special cat or project) or unrestricted donation. Go see the DONATE page and send money to help the diabetic cats Mom and her friends have found that need help.

Summer 2011 DCIN Fundraiser

Not Ennis93 in this picture.
I am Ennis93, the DCIN Fundraising Spokescat and the King of Grumpy.

This is my first fundraiser, so please help me out, folks. My Mom used to do it more complicated than I am going to. And she has set up complicated a Fall 2011 Fundraiser making a cookbook that Mel (Max and Musette's Mom) is helping me with.

This is simple. I want to raise $2,000 this month. This fundraiser goes until July 31, 2011. I'm not offering prizes or anything for this. If you want prizes, go see Mer's effort to help cover Musette's costs. That includes a picture prize.

The cats that I want to help with this fundraiser are on my home page. Other cats will be helped too, cause Mom and Jennifer get calls and emails almost everyday now about some new cat that needs help or rehoming. (Why don't some people love diabetic cats as much as you all do?)

Mom will spread the money around various cats, unless you tell me you want it to go to a special diabetic cat.

Here's a button for donating to the Summer 2011 DCIN Fundraiser. Click on the Grumpy smilie holding the sign. If you want your donation not to have PayPal fees taken out, you can follow the instructions on my DONATE!! page and tell me the donation is for the Summer 2011 DCIN Fundraiser.

Here's a ticker to show you how we are doing. I will update this every morning.

Thank you (Mom says I always have to say this) for helping the Diabetic Cats that need it!!

Mer's Contest for Musette--My Apologies

On Sunday, I posted on the DCIN blog about Mer's contest to raise funds to get Musette home to her Mom, Mel. My Mom says I was too grumpy because no one contributed. I am .....I am....SIGH....sorry for being so grumpy. I said I couldn't eat or sleep until I raised the money DCIN needs, and I am getting hungry and tired, and even grumpier.

DCIN needs a little more than $300 for all that it paid for Musette--boarding her at the rescue vet, having Uncle Don's vet see her twice (once for her bouncy BG levels and once for papers to be able to fly), and also the flight from Dulles airport through Houston to Denver, where Marcy picked her up and drove her partway to Mel.

I know there are lots of people who have followed the story of this Bobbleheaded Musette. She flew neeked to Mel, but she still had all the hair on her head and tail. This is a picshure of Musette in her new home. There are other picshures and a video on her blog page. Her Mom Mel says she is smiling; I'm not sure I believe that. Maybe Musette can be the Queen of Grumpy. The other pictsure is me.

Musette smiling and purring. Really!!
This IS my normal face.
Maybe if some people gave some money to help cover Musette's costs, we both could come up with happier faces. You folks don't really want to see these grumpy faces, do you.

And if enough people contribute to Musette's costs, there will be a drawing for a gift certificate for a pencil drawing of any of your pets by M. Paige Portraits.

Ennis's Rebuttal

July 5, 2011--This is a post I wrote on my Mom's Diabetic Cats in Need blog last week. Now that Mom gave me my own blog, I am copying it here.

Stare at my back for just two more days. After that, all you will see is my face.
July 1, 2011--There wouldn't be a DCIN if it weren't for me and my brother Maxwell. We were the ones that brought Mom to the Feline Diabetes Message Board, Diabetic Cat Care, and all those other Internet places for diabetic cats. We thought we were extra sweet doing that for her.

But now Mom has turned her back on me, so I am turning my back on her. I am glad that Maxie isn't here to see this. Yes, I've been a silent fundraising spokescat for DCIN. Folks might not even know my name and birth year if they didn't donate to DCIN. It was my email address that Mom used for DCIN's PayPal account--Ennis93@....
